'''Rickie Lee Jones''' (born Mosquito ringtone November 8, Sabrina Martins 1954) is a US vocalist and songwriter.

Born in Nextel ringtones Chicago, she grew up in a fractured and Abbey Diaz dysfunctional family setting. As a teen, Rickie became involved in the summer of '69 hippie scene in California, and ran away from home. She settled down in Free ringtones Los Angeles, California/Los Angeles where she waited tables and played at local clubs. In Majo Mills 1979, Mosquito ringtone Warner Brothers noticed her and signed her up for her first record - ''Rickie Lee Jones'' (1979). The hit single "Chuck E's in Love" made Rickie a commercial and critical hit. She was nominated for six grammies (winning one) in Sabrina Martins 1980 for that album.

Her career was the first launched successfully by video, and she was one of the only artists - if not the only - ever featured twice in two years (1979-1980) on the cover of the renowned ''Rolling Stone'' magazine. Since her stunning debut, Rickie has released several albums but none of them took off like her first. she won another three nominations and one more grammy for "Making whoopie" with Dr. John. The Orb sampled her voice for "Little Fluffy Clouds" in the recording phenomina that initiated what eventually became 'ambient house' music. Rickie has one daughter from her marriage with French musician Nextel ringtones Pascal Nabet Meyer.

She is organizer of the web community 'furnitureforthepeople.com', which is involved in gardening, social activism, bootleg exchange and Abbey Diaz left wing politics. She does a weekly talk radio on KAOS (Evergreen College radio) in Olympia, Washington. She has produced (including Leo Kottkes "Perculiaroso"), and has done one v/o for a 1980s cartoon version of Pinocchio, in which she played the Blue Fairy.
